STONECO...PIT & QUARRY Producer of the Year 2005!
|
|
|
Congratulations toSTONECO on receiving Pit & Quarry
Magazine's 2005 PRODUCER of the YEAR award.
Pit & Quarry selected STONECO because of its "top-notch safety program,
advances in technology, smooth operations, environmental soundness, and strong
ties to the community." Stonemont Solutions is proud to have STONECO as a
customer since 2003 and we thank them for identifying aggQC as one of the
technologies that contributes to their success. Thank You STONECO!
According to the Pit & Quarry article, "At Stoneco, products are held
to the highest quality standards making product safely and efficiently isn't
enough. All quarries have a full-time, quality-control tech and lab on site,
and products under active production are tested once daily. High volume
products are tested even more often. A full-service lab located at the Ottawa
Lake Quarry can perform L.A. Abrasion tests, specific gravities and other
quality tests. All quality-control data is entered into the aggQC
quality-control software
... that allows management, sales, administrative and production staff to
access quality-control results for any quarry in the group."
"STONECO uses the aggQC aggregate quality-control software to store and track
quality-control data from all plants. Managers, quality-control technicians and
salesmen all have access to quality-control data, making management and sales
more involved in the quality process. Since implementation of the program,
access and awareness of the quality-control program has increased substantially",
according to STONECO's Jay Ellis."
"Technology touches all parts of the business at Stoneco," says Ellis. "It is so
integrated these days, we don't even think twice about it. We're continuously
looking for technological advances that will help our business."

Version 4 supports additional State DOT Reporting requirements, as
well enhancements to existing aggQC supported DOT requirements.
Based on your requests, we have added support for the Indiana
DOT Charting Requirements, Pennsylvania DOT (standard
gradations), Maryland DOT, Virginia DOT, and
the West Virginia DOT.
ENHANCED SUPPORT FOR DOT's
In addition to supporting reporting requirements for the DOT's listed above, we
have added enhanced support in regards to gradation calculations for a number
of DOT's. These DOT's have specifically defined calculation requirements that
usually relate to distribution of error in a gradation test, specific rounding
rules, or a combination of the two. We have addressed these calculation rules
for the following agencies; Illinois DOT, Iowa DOT,
Ohio DOT, Pennsylvania DOT, and the West
Virginia DOT.
A NOTE on Florida DOT LIMS System
As Florida producers know, the Florida DOT is working on a system to provide
electronic submittal of code sheet information for import to the DOT LIMS
database. aggQC V4 has been updated to support the latest information
available from FDOT regarding support for LIMS. However, the
final submittal format has not been released but Stonemont is committed to
supporting the new format as soon as it is released. We put together a PDF
document containing the current codes, download the PDF by clicking
HERE.
We are committed to making your transition easy by using aggQC to submit results
to the new LIMS system!

New Data Entry Features |
|
|
MULTI-SPEC FLEXIBILITY
Expanding on the need for our customers to support "One product, multiple
specifications", in addition to having the ability to assign multiple
specifications to one product, users now have the ability to select
"On-The-Fly" what specification sample results are evaluated against. This
allows you to see immediate feed back on how your test results not only compare
to the default specification, but to any specification assigned to the product;
Simple select the assigned specification you would like to evaluate the test
result against. When you save a test, aggQC will send auto-email alerts when a
failure triggers against the viewed specification (assuming auto-email alerts
are turned on for the product).
NEW WORKSHEETS!
We have added a number of new worksheets in aggQC:
Methylene Blue
Micro-Deval
Wet Ball Mill
Auto-Clave
% Composition
Slag & Deleterious
Sand Equivalent
Magnesium/Sodium Sulfate Soundness
Modified
Specific Gravity Worksheets
Modified Sand Equivalent Worksheet
We will continue to add support for various types of worksheets in subsequent
releases of aggQC, just let us know what types of worksheets you would like to
see in aggQC
In addition to the above worksheets, we have also added some additional
"Auto-Calculate" options. The auto-calculate feature in aggQC will
automatically calculate other types of quality results that can be derived from
entered gradation information. We have added the following Auto-Calculate
Options:
Grad Loss %
Coarseness Ratio
Workability Ratio
IMPROVED SUPPORT FOR PLC Variables
aggQC V3 supported tracking PLC Variables, but in V4 this information is
integrated much more consistently within the aggQC Framework. PLC Variable
results are now treated essentially the same as quality data or sieve data.
Users can set specifications and control limits for PLC Variables, and evaluate
how PLC variables are performing in regards to specifications and control
limits. For example, you can now generate a control chart showing Tons per Hour
over time for a selected product.
In a nut-shell, this allows you to chart and analyze process data with the same
tools and reports that you use to analyze quality and sieve results.
|
 |
Updated Analysis Features! |
Most analysis Query forms now allow you to query for PLC Variable results. The
interface of the blend application has been updated to maximize the use of
screen area, displaying sieves in a vertical format. In addition, you can now
blend results using both % passing data as well as quality (other test) data.
Enhancements to the Multi-variable charting tool now allow better scaling
options for displayed variables.
The value "PWL" has been added. This statistical value evaluates the ability to
meet either user defined or auto-calculated process control limits. The value
"PWS" evaluates the ability to meet specifications (In prior versions this
value was named PWL).
Values in the Statistical Analysis summary area can also now be limited to
display only values you have selected in Analysis Options>>Statistical
Analysis.
|
 |
Additional Data Reports! |
|
| Most reports in aggQC have been updated to allow you to view PLC process data
as well as sieve results and quality information. We have also added reports
based on suggestions from current users. A brief description of new reports is
provided below. |
|
Sample Notes Report -Used to summarize notes and other general
information for individual test results
SPC Analysis Report- Similar to the statistical analysis, but
displays more process related statistics.
Control Chart Report- Generate a process control chart for
any product's sieve results, quality results, or PLC variable results.
Specification Comparison Report- Now evaluates average sieve,
quality, or PLC variable results against up to 5 different specifications
assigned to the product. Out of spec material is indicated.
Certification Report- Generates a submittal type report for
products. Query form allows users to query unique data ranges for other types
of tests. (i.e. sieve data could be set to query results
for last 30-tests, and quality results could be set to query for results
over the last year). You can also assign a header and footer to the
plant-product for display on the report.
Detail Gradation Summary - Generates a statistical summary of
sieve data, and displays a semi-log plot of sieve data.
